In a viral clip melting everyone online, an older cat who appears to have a cleft palate leans in toward his new cat mom with a level of trust he clearly did not know was possible. At first, he looks unsure. He hesitates. And then you can see the exact moment he realizes he is finally safe.
Once that switch flips, he rubs his face against her cheek over and over like he’s trying to memorize the feeling of being loved. His whole body relaxes in a way that only happens when an animal has decided they have found their person. Just watch this clip. It’s so touching.
The absolutely heartwarming video was shared on the TikTok account @ciarajfaulkner, and people in the comments are so in love with this sweet angel. The caption on the video reads, “Rescued this handicapped elderly gentleman from the shelter, but turns out he rescued me.” OH HANG ON, I am gonna need a Kleenex!
