BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — On Saturday, Nov. 29, visitors to Pet Supplies Plus in Battle Creek can attend a pictures with Santa Claus event for pets hosted by Reflections Outcast Animal Rescue, a local organization.

“All of the proceeds go toward taking care of the animals here at ROAR,” Tracy Lee, director at ROAR, said.

For $15, visitors to the event can receive a digital download and physical print photo of their family’s visit with Santa Claus.

“They get that copied right there,” Lee said.

In its 10th year, ROAR’s pictures with Santa fundraiser has seen its fair share of visiting pets and animals — including birds, snakes and more.

“Anything that wants to come has to be on a leash or a container so it can’t get loose,” Lee said.

Kent County Animal Shelter celebrates 85 years

Proceeds raised from the event will go toward ROAR’s community outreach and range of medical procedures offered to its rescue animals.
