Both of my dogs can take on an almost cartoon character persona at times. My senior Dachshund carries herself like Lady from the Disney classic Lady and the Tramp, exuding an air of refinement and elegance. Her Pug brother is more like Mickey Mouse’s clumsy pal Goofy, who often gets into trouble but has a heart of gold.
Darth is a unique mix of Basset Hound and Pit Bull that results in an adorably distinct body shape. The precious pooch holds a certain position when he eats that resembles a beloved donkey from the Hundred Acre Wood.
In the TikTok from @darththedwarf, the canine cutie sat at his dog bowl with a very unusual posture. Darth’s face was fully in his dish while he was in a sitting position that placed his back legs fully forward. His tush was fully flat on the floor with his tail stretched out.
“Anyone else’s dog choose to eat like this?” the onscreen text asked.
Darth definitely gave off some Eeyore vibes, where he resembled the lovable yet melancholy donkey of Winnie the Pooh fame. Eeyore often walked around slouched over due to his pessimistic views on life and seemed to carry the weight on his shoulders. Darth’s interesting approach to his meals mirrored Eeyore’s demeanor.
Physical Traits of the ‘Bassetbull’
The combination of the Basset Hound and Pitbull breeds may seem rare, yet this hybrid emerged in the 1990s or early 2000s. This crossbreed, also known as the “Bassetbull“, blends the muscular build of a Pit Bull with the long body and short legs of a Basset Hound.

The mixed breed can inherit the trademark long ears of the Basset, or, like Darth, the shorter ears of the Pit Bull. These canines usually have short, dense coats that come in various colors including fawn, black, white, and brindle.
The Bassetbull brings the best of both breeds in temperament. They tend to be very loving, affectionate, loyal and intelligent.
Darth is definitely a canine cutie and his unique sitting position just adds to his charm.
