It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and that means that many of us already have Christmas trees adorning our living rooms. Some pets couldn’t care less about the new decor and the colorful presents underneath it, while it’s like a magnet for others.
TikToker @3orangegoats recently put up their Christmas tree, but with three orange cats in the house, they knew the tree would be irresistible. So they did what many pet pawrents do; they tried putting a gate around it to keep the cats out. But their plan failed in the funniest way possible. Make sure your sound is on because Mom’s reaction to finding one of the cats stuck in the tree is an absolute riot!
Okay, but Mom must’ve known that this might happen because there’s not one ornament on the tree, unless you count the cat! We laughed at the video’s caption, too, “Get an orange male cat, they said… (he didn’t actually get in trouble)!”

Commenters’ Funny Reactions to the Cat Stuck in the Christmas Tree
It probably won’t come as a surprise that this video went viral since it’s so relatable. It’s been viewed close to 4 million times and has more than 2,600 comments, and some of them cracked us up!
Viewer @Mel M laughed, “You thinking the baby gate was going to stop him LOL!”, and @julia pointed out, “And the couch right next to the tree!”
@Emma Newland knows how the cat’s mom felt, “I had one of those ornaments last year too LOL!” Another commenter said what the cat was thinking, “Hey, Mom, so funny story…”
Commenter @Elaine got close to 28,000 likes when she asked, “If you didn’t want him to land in the tree, then why did you name him Hawk?!” @Mama agreed, “She literally asked for it!”
One viewer asked, “What’s up with cats and Christmas trees?” Soft Paws explains that cats are naturally curious, and having a tree in the house allows them to climb, scratch, bat at things hanging from it, and even chew on it or all the baubles on it. It’s like the ultimate toy!
