Some dogs are way too handsome for their own good. While every dog is precious in their own way, there’s just something about a gorgeous dog with pretty eyes that will catch everyone’s attention every single time.

For one Pit Bull, it’s basically an everyday occurrence. Wherever he goes, people are stopping him to tell him how pretty he is, as they should be. One look at him lying in the sunlight, and everybody is totally in love with him and his eyes.

Reigning Cats and Dogs has managed to capture quite a pretty bunch of pets in general, as there are six pets in the home, and each is even better than the last. The Pittie in this video is Finnegan, and he’s one of the oldest. All of them, including him, are rescues. One of them doesn’t even have ears!

Finnegan does, though, which is good. He gets to listen to everyone compliment him, which everyone does. He’s a favorite among the people he meets, of course, but he’s also a favorite among his siblings. There’s just so much love in that house!

Finnegan has a decent amount of energy, but he’s also not a puppy anymore. He spends quite a bit of time lounging around with his mom, which is totally fine by her, because he makes an excellent cuddle buddy. He’s an excellent everything buddy, and he has the prettiest eyes in the world!

Why Are Dogs’ Eyes So Beautiful?

Dogs’ eyes being beautiful is a fact, but it’s not just something we made up: there’s a legitimate, evolutionary reason for it. Dogs’ eyes have evolved over time to become more beautiful, specifically for our benefit.

You may have heard the term “puppy dog eyes,” and it’s often exaggerated, but it’s a real thing! Dogs can widen their eyes in such a way that helps humans (and other potential animals) view them as less threatening or kinder, which might, in turn, lead us to be kinder to them.

Additionally, though dogs do have whites to their eyes, they’re not quite as visible as they are with humans. It makes their eyes appear wider even when they’re not making a “puppy dog” expression, which makes us think they’re cuter. No eyes, however, can top Finnegan’s!
