Tiny Senior Chihuahua Named ‘Clark Griswold’ Is Looking for His Own Christmas Miracle

‘Tis the season for classic Christmas movies. Every film from It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol to Home Alone and Elf is streaming to ring in the holiday season. The legendary Vacation franchise added a Christmas-themed installment in 1989 to follow the Griswold family’s yuletide adventures and remains must-see viewing to this day.

This peppy 13-year-old Chihuahua is named after the main character in the film series and is hoping to find his forever home by the end of the year.

Clark Griswold — the Chihuahua, not the human — is a rescue at Long Way Home Adoptables in Texas. The post from @lwhadoptables shared his bio and some similarities with the famous film character.

“Clark is 13 years old, 10 lbs, and full-time family man,” the caption explained. “Just like his legendary namesake, Clark is determined to make every day feel like the perfect holiday — even if a few things get goofy along the way.”

Apparently, Clark is always up for adventure and can even be a bit of a perfectionist.

“He loves exploring the yard like he’s checking the Christmas lights… again. And again. And again — just to make sure everything is just right,” the story continued.

Clark always keeps up with his responsibilities yet is a full believer in having some down time, especially if it involves snuggling.

“Once his ‘inspection rounds’ are complete, he turns into the coziest cuddle buddy, ready for movie marathons and long winter naps,” the bio stated. “Clark believes in big hearts, bright spirits, and being surrounded by the ones you love. He’s friendly, sweet, and never short on charm — even when he’s caught up in holiday hijinks.”

Clark Wants a Home for Christmas

This canine cutie is hoping to find a family this holiday season and ring in the new year in his new home.

“Clark is a senior gentleman looking for a forever home that appreciates his commitment to making life merry and bright,” the post noted. “Give him some love, a warm blanket, and maybe a decorative squirrel to keep an eye on… and he’ll be the happiest pup in the neighborhood!”

The caption concluded with a plea for Clark, who brings joy to everyone he meets: “Bring home the guy who knows family means everything — and who will make your Christmas lights twinkle just a little bit brighter.”

We’re all hoping Clark’s Christmas wish comes true.
