PERRY, Okla. (KFOR) — Bubba arrived at the Thedford home as a Valentine’s Day gift from her husband.
For Christina Thedford, it was love at first sight.
“He was so cute and all legs,” she recalls.
Over the past 7 years, they’ve been inseparable.
Thedford insists, “I don’t think he realizes he’s a goat.”
Christina spoils him with cookies.
“He’s a cookie monster.”
He follows wherever she goes, that is, unless someone new decides to present a new challenge.

Bubba the kid grew up to be one of the biggest billy goats she’d ever seen, but inside he stayed a kid, mischievous and ornery.
They take walks together and lie in the sun together.
Christina’s world and Bubba’s revolve around each other, co-dependent, and mutually hilarious.
On quiet days, when Bubba is bored, he relaxes in an old chair on the porch.
He might try to sneak inside or chew on whatever the wind blows into the yard.
Christina found an appropriate name for her kid, now grown.
He’s always been her favorite.
“I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 Bubba,” she smiles. “He’s my baby.”
It’s been a perfect relationship so far, an older parent with a kid who refuses to grow up no matter how big he gets.
She insists, “I’ll keep him forever.”
