There are some dog breeds that just look intimidating and end up getting a bad rap simply because of their appearance. Dozer is an XL American Bully, and while he may look like the kind of dog you wouldn’t want to run into off-leash, he’s really just a big baby at heart, as you’ll see in this video.
Watch as Dozer notices something on the couch that isn’t normally there, and his reaction to the strange things. When he hops on the couch and stretches out to get a closer look, you can see the fear causing his little legs to shake!
We laughed when Dozer’s mom joked that this is the “big scary dog” they chose to protect their house! She also said in the caption, “New fear unlocked…THE BLANKET AND COUCH COVER! And people are seriously scared of these dogs only because of their looks.”

Funny Reactions to the Big Dog Being Afraid of a Blanket
Everybody thought Dozer’s reaction to the blanket was too funny and had some funny things to say in response. @Beautifully_Broken shared, “The most intimidating ones are always the biggest babies! Ask me how I know. LOL!”
@Breanna Faldet joked, “We love a cautious king LOL!” And Laken gets it too, “Ok, our dogs must be related!!! VERY judgmental, also very scared of his own shadow…. and anything else scary!”
“‘We need some protection around here, mom’ -the dog,” said @El Jefe Zamora, and another commenter pointed out that Dozer was being brave: “Oh brave boy… trembling with fear, but you STILL go check it out!” Dozer’s mom confirmed, “Yes! Being very brave!”
Despite their tough looks, American Bullies are gentle giants, offering protection, fierce loyalty, and love that are often overlooked because of their appearance. As you can see, Dozer is definitely the perfect example of this. Even though he was afraid of the blanket, it didn’t stop him from checking to make sure that it wasn’t a threat. We think that brave boy deserves a favorite treat!
