Taking time for personal wellness should be a priority. Everyone needs those breaks every now and then for some indulgent self-care. Whether it’s a massage, sauna, foot rub or even a nap, those little windows of rest and relaxation can give you the boost you need to lift your spirits.

Sofie the Maltipoo seems to have embraced this practice and spends her time in the tub as if it were a spa treatment.

In the TikTok from @softhemaltipoo, Sofie sat in the tub as the water ran. While many dogs are adverse to baths, the Maltipoo welcomed the opportunity for a good soak. She moved to sit directly under the faucet so the water would stream right on her back and neck, probably for a massage effect.

As the tub filled with water, Sofie went a step further and lay down in the tub so she would be fully immersed in the experience. She had a serene look of calm on her face as she let her fur float in the water. The precious pooch was in no rush to get out and seemed to savor every moment of her bath.

Though she wasn’t in a professional spa, Sofie capitalized on her tub time and allowed herself to fully relax. The canine cutie sets a great example for everyone to take even a few moments for yourself and enjoy some wholesome self-indulgence.

The caption summed it up saying, “Bath day = spa day I guess.”

Many Dogs Dislike Baths

Sofie’s view of bath time is quite different from how my dogs see it. Both my Doxie and my Pug despise baths and need to be carried into the tub. Followers shared similar experiences with their canines when it came to bath time.

“My dog runs from the water, so I can’t even understand this,” one remarked.

“I wish my girls would do that, we’re all over the tub, slip sliding away!!” another posted.

“My dog will only drink water out of the bath tub. I wish he would enjoy this part,” a follower commented.

“Mine has a panic attack,” someone wrote.

Maybe Sofie can have a word with my fur babies on how to make the most of bath time.
