An Instagram video shows how a Husky named Marble takes his role as big brother very seriously, even refusing to trust his grandpa with the newborn baby. Instagram user @myboymarble shared the video, featuring the dog following his grandpa around the living room while he holds the baby — and Marble makes it very clear he is not entirely sure this is okay.
Husky can’t trust grandpa to hold the baby properly
The video opens with the Husky following Grandpa as he walks slowly across the room, cradling the baby in his arms. Marble stays behind him, staring up and letting out a long, probably anxious, howl every few seconds, even though the owner tries to reassure him. The on‑screen caption sums up what everyone’s thinking: “He didn’t trust Grandpa to hold his Baby.”
In the post’s caption, the owner wrote, “Someone DO something!!! Lol he was very protective of his newborn sister,” which pretty much sets the tone for the whole video. Marble paces, howls, and refuses to let grandpa out of his sight.
Many viewers understood Marble’s panic. One person wrote, “Y’all better be watching and making sure my baby is ok he’s so sweet!!!” Another user joked, “Marble when someone is carrying his baby.” Meanwhile, a commenter observed, “He said, give me my baby back.” A different viewer wrote, “Who said Husky couldn’t be a guard dog!”
Some comments discussed Marble’s dramatic side, with one follower imagining what he was thinking: “Marble: What are you doing with my little sister? Put her down this instant!” Another user offered a different theory, wondering, “Or maybe he was trying to communicate that he wanted grandpa to hold him instead!?!?”
A few people even pointed out how the baby stays completely asleep through the entire performance, with one user writing, “I’m surprised the baby did not wake up.”
Whether the Husky was anxious or jealous in the video, he is taking his big brother duties very seriously — even if it means constantly howling at his grandpa.
