Dogs absolutely love it when their paw parents come home, and it doesn’t matter whether they just stepped out to check the mailbox or were gone on a week-long trip—the greetings are often the same. Rummy, a 1-year-old Goldendoodle, didn’t hide his excitement when his mom returned from a business trip, and she probably felt like a million bucks after his over-the-top greeting.

The sweet pup is lounging in his fluffy dog bed—with his emotional support sock—when Dad asks, “Rummy, is Mommy home from the trip?” That was all the invitation the Doodle needed to sprint toward the front door to say hello.

He was so excited that he forgot to stop at the door, and by the time Mom stepped inside, he had already looped back around, and a substantial greeting ensued. Rummy jumped up and down, pawed at Mom’s leg, and wagged his tail at warp speed.

As she bends down to give the little Goldendoodle some loving pets, he runs back and forth in a zigzag pattern while Mom keeps trying to hug him. And just when you think he’s calming down enough for a nice little hug, the four-legged fluffball takes off running again.

His excitement clearly got the best of him, and he couldn’t stop the zoomies from taking over. Rummy darts past Dad, jumps up onto the couch, turns around, and races back to his mom as fast as his little legs can carry him.

Many of Rummy’s followers found his reaction to Mom’s return incredibly relatable. @believe.achieve.receive1 mentioned, “I love how unconditional they all are!!! My little Remi does this even when I leave for 15 minutes!” while @aznangelria joked, “She’s just not allowed to leave ever again! LOL”

Fellow four-legged TikToker @goofygoldenleo commented, “Having to get a toy first is so real!” and @sir.boundalot perfectly summed it up by saying, “When Mommy comes home from a trip, my heart goes zoomies first, and my tail enters overdrive. Best moment ever.”
