When it comes to keeping our three cats happy, it usually doesn’t take much. We could give them a cardboard box, a plastic spoon, or even just a hair tie, and they’ll entertain themselves for hours. So when I came across a recent post shared by @hellolouey, it became clear that I’ve failed my feline children.
Their family of seven cats, including some stunning Persians, got the ultimate enrichment upgrade when Dad knocked out a hole in the wall and built a tunnel to Grandma’s digs. If my cats ever see this, I’m in big trouble!

This is inspiration for kitty parents everywhere! If you don’t have Grandma in close proximity, I guess it won’t work out… unless your neighbor agrees! Either way, look at how this turned out and how happy those seven cats are with their new, thrilling crawl space!
Mom calls them “spoiled,” but that’s an understatement. As one fan described, the “catacombs” have been leveled up to become Persian cat tunnels. Only kitty royalty would know about something so bougie, so if your cat saw this and now asks if you’re poor, same!

Thousands flocked to the comments demanding a tunnel cam or at least a feline POV as they sneak through the secret space.
“Over the pillow and through the tunnel to Grandmother’s house we go!” another fan joked. “‘Wanna go to Grandma’s and pretend like we haven’t eaten dinner in days?’—the cat in the wall, probably,” another added. “The way all my cats would betray me for Treatland,” another person wrote.
The Update We All Need
So far, we’ve not been blessed with the tunnel content we’ve begged for. We got something better: an intro to the fluffy cat crew and Mom’s use of a selfie stick to capture the tunnel views. Yuki, Squeezy Booty, Boba, Dookie, Gnocchi, Luna (the mama cat), and Coco are truly living the life we all dream of.
We get a glimpse of the setup, which includes the cat tower Grandma bought, the toy she’s knitting, the other activities shared between the spaces, and the cozy beds Dad made. Forget about my kitties feeling jealous—I am!
It’s time I rethink ways to keep my felines happy. Maybe we could just all move in with this family and combine our cat colonies? That seems like the only logical answer.
