Just when we think that Cashew, the 1-year-old Mini Dachshund, couldn’t get any cuter… he does! Of course, he needs a little help from his mom to show viewers exactly how adorable he can be, and we truly appreciate her efforts!
She recently shared a TikTok video of Cashew putting on his new winter sweater, along with her wearing a matching scarf, and we are completely in love! The Mini Dachshund makes everything look good, and his mom has been sharing a ton of videos highlighting Cashew’s adorable cold-weather fits.
The most recent sweater features horizontal stripes with a chunky neckline. The color palette is especially pleasing to the eye, blending a beautiful blue hue with a medium shade of brown and a creamy white that ties everything together perfectly.

After dressing the little pup in his sweater and carefully pulling his soft, fluffy ears out from the collar, Mom stretches out her scarf to show off its quality before putting it on. These two make twinning look so cute, and we love how comfy and cozy they’ll be all winter long in their coordinated looks.
Do Dogs Need Sweaters?
According to theAmerican Kennel Club, the answer is yes, some dogs do need sweaters in colder weather. The pups that benefit from them the most are those that do not have a dense fur coat, like Greyhounds or Whippets. Small dogs such as Yorkies and Toy Poodles, as well as senior pups, may also appreciate the added warmth of an additional layer.
The AKC also recommends making sure your dog’s sweater fits properly. A sweater that’s too big and baggy can actually become a tripping hazard, and if it’s too small, it could restrict their movement and cause discomfort or injury. Their website offers helpful tips on how to measure your pup to ensure a proper fit.
