When you have a crush on someone, it can be really difficult to keep your cool. Even as you’re telling yourself, “Be chill! Act normal!” you may struggle. On the flip side, you may think your regular personality isn’t enough, so you have to pull out all the stops and possibly be even a little “extra.”

One adorable Dachshund is trying to win over the love of his life with his best smile. In a hilarious TikTok video, we watch as this pup flashes his grin over and over again to the delight of his crush. Take a look at this dog’s smooth moves.

“Point of view, your dog is in love with your roommate,” the Dachshund’s proud family member captions this funny clip, adding, “Every. Single. Time.”

Viewers are almost as overjoyed as the object of this pup’s affection, who can’t stop laughing.

“It’s the cutest thing ever!!!” one wrote.

“He’s like… ‘You mind… if… I show all 32?!'” another imagined this dog’s interior monologue.

Can Dogs Fall in Love?

We all know that dogs can have favorites. From snacks and toys to parks and people, our canine companions often show preferences for certain things over others. But can they truly fall in love?

Sure, they come to us for affection, but sometimes we suspect they may just want something—a belly rub, an early dinner, an extra walk.

But experts say dogs can experience a form of love. While it might not be the same emotion that we feel, dogs do see a rise in oxytocin (aka the love hormone) levels when they’re engaging with their family members. How do they convey this? In all the ways we’ve come to know and love: leaning on us, following us around the house, waiting beside the door to greet us, and welcoming us with those gentle headbutts and tail wags.

This smiling though, wow, that’s a new one. If there were a doggie dating app, that winning grin would earn this pup a ton of likes, we’re guessing.

And we think this smile is working. The roommate is obviously smitten, and that makes us smile, too!
