Yorkie Proves He’s the Best Dad When He Asks His Loneliest Puppy To Play

When it comes to raising puppies, canine moms tend to be much more involved than dads. Part of that is out of necessity, of course, since dads can’t feed their pups, but that doesn’t mean a dad can’t bond with his babies, too.

For the perfect example of a doting dog dad, look no further than Bruno the Yorkshire Terrier. He’s such an attentive father, in fact, that he noticed when one of his puppies was all by himself instead of playing with his siblings. He wasted no time comforting his loneliest puppy in the sweetest way!

Good boy, Bruno! He may be a baby himself at only two years old, but he shares a bond with his puppies that most dog dads could only dream of. It’s like he telepathically knew one of his little ones needed him!

“He went ‘where’s my third baby’ and got so excited to find him,” commenter @cassielukowiak recounted. Like many dogs, Bruno wants the entire pack together, even if it takes a little encouragement to make it happen.

Bruno’s pep talk with his son looked just like a human dad hyping up his son before a big game or nerve-wracking moment. It’s special to see how love transcends language, age, and even species, but nothing is more beautiful than the love between a dog and their babies.

Viewers like @kadineforbes fell head over heels for Bruno, especially because they aren’t used to seeing such devoted dads with their pups. She wrote, “Aw, I’ve never seen a dad nice to his puppies,” and she’s not the only one!

Dog Dads

Although some canine fathers couldn’t care less about the new bundles of joy, others are naturally curious and even caring. Sometimes, however, Mom tells Dad to stay away!

“Our dad Bailey was terrified of his pups,” shared @rosstictoc, “because every time he went near them, Mommy, Bella, attacked him. She was very defensive.” That happens sometimes! Bruno, unfortunately, ran into a similar situation when his puppies were first born, but after a few weeks, Luna realized she could get a break from the puppies while she left them with Dad.

@Christinedarbyrey had a similar experience with her dogs. She wrote, “Ours literally does a head count. He covers the new pups up and gives mom a break.” Could that be any sweeter?

Dog dads like Bruno could melt anyone’s heart, and only time will tell what sweet adventures await them!
