This is Link, a Dachshund who has clearly decided that holiday decorations are not for decorating; they’re for stealing. And in this house, there’s a very simple rule: if you steal it, you wear it. The clip starts with Link sprinting into frame, dragging tinsel garland like he just pulled off the greatest heist of the season. His dad doesn’t even flinch. Instead, the garland ends up placed right back on Link, who stands there proudly, looking like he’s ready for his close-up.
Then things escalate. Link manages to snag not one, but two ornaments, which his dad positions behind him in a way that is… suggestive without being inappropriate. You just have to see it to know what I mean. It’s subtle, it’s ridiculous, and Link seems completely unfazed, trotting off as if this is a normal part of his day.
Next up: plastic holly sprigs. Naturally, those get turned into a festive little headpiece, giving Link strong holiday wreath energy. Then come the burgundy bows, which somehow end up clipped onto his ears, transforming him into the most dramatic Christmas present imaginable.
Just when you think he’s done, Link steals wrapping paper. And yes, he ends up fully wrapped, complete with a bow on top, looking like the final boss of naughty-but-cute Christmas chaos.

The hilariously cute clip was shared on the TikTok account @linkthesausage_, and people in the comments are cracking up. “I’m beginning to think he steals things JUST to wear them,” one person said.” This is so dangerous for dogs because it encourages them to run away to Paris for fashion week and sip espresso in bistros.” LOL!
As funny as this all is, it’s worth noting that not all decorations are safe for dogs. Tinsel, ornaments, ribbons, and plastic decor can be choking hazards or cause digestive issues if swallowed. This video works because Link’s dad is supervising him, the decorations are lightweight, and Dad quickly removes everything after the joke. Mostly, though, it’s just a perfect example of Dachshund behavior. They’re bold, curious, and completely convinced that every object in the house exists for their personal enrichment.
Link may be on Santa’s naughty list this year, but honestly, he earned every ounce of holiday fame.
