Founded in 2009 by country music icon Miranda Lambert and her mom, Bev Lambert, MuttNation is a donation-supported nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the adoption of shelter pets, promoting spay and neuter programs, and educating the public on the benefits of these efforts. Calling Miranda an animal activist is an understatement; she’s a lifelong animal lover who often visits local shelters while on tour to raise awareness about dogs in need.
Miranda, who lives about an hour south of Nashville, recently stopped by Wags & Walks, a Nashville-based animal rescue. While there, she spent time with Sweet Pea, the rescue’s longest resident, who had been waiting for a home for more than 400 days. Miranda’s mission was simple: get this sweet girl adopted!
Miranda reminded us all in the caption, “Every dog needs love during the holidays.” We couldn’t agree more! We hope that by putting eyes on Sweet Pea, a fan of Miranda’s will fall in love with the pooch and foster or adopt this gentle shelter dog!
