We have quickly come to that time of year when most people want to put on their jammies, snuggle into bed, and wake up sometime in January. It’s not that we don’t enjoy the holidays, but these few weeks can be exhausting and often drain more than just our bank accounts!
One little Dachshund clearly has the right idea. He slipped into his satin candy cane pajamas—complete with an eye mask—and decided his mom’s bed was exactly where he planned to stay for the foreseeable future.
Wilbur is an adorable Mini Doxie who is honestly too cute for words. He lives a very busy life full of playtime, naps, hanging out with his humans, and spending time with his four-legged brother, so it’s easy to understand just how exhausting all of that can be for such a little guy.
In the TikTok video shared by his mom, there is absolutely nothing standing between this precious pup and his napping goals—well, except maybe his mom and the camera!

Can Pets Feel Stressed?
The answer is a resounding yes—they can. According to the Animal Humane Society, “While you might be having a ball, your four-legged friends may experience anxiety and fear due to things like loud voices, strangers, lots of hustle and bustle, and new environments.”
They also mention that pets may feel separation anxiety due to the increased amount of time their humans are away from home. Some of the most common symptoms of anxiety in animals include “destructive behavior, aggression, restlessness, and excessive barking.”
So, what can you do to help your pets during this stressful time of year? Socialization and training can go a long way in helping your four-legged family members feel more comfortable around strangers and boost their confidence in new social settings.
This little pup definitely has the right idea when it comes to surviving the holiday chaos—put on your favorite pajamas and claim the coziest spot in the house!
