Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
That is the motto of this beautiful Golden Retriever named Scooby, who is having a ball on this New York City snow day!
Scooby resides on the Upper East Side of New York City, which means his backyard is Central Park, one of the best places in the world to be on a snowy day.
You can sled, cross-country ski, and if you’re a dog, just frolic about!
And that is exactly what Scooby is doing!
After walking to the park, he played some fetch with what we assume is his mom or dad, who was behind the camera.
He also just enjoyed standing in the snow. With his strong stance and no people around at times, Scooby looked like he could be in an oil painting (that could go in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which is also on the east edge of Central Park!).
If you loved this video, definitely check out Scooby’s account, as he has plenty of fun adventures in his New York City life.
Recently, the 6-year-old Golden Retriever discovered his tail, and he loved all the wonders of Christmas. He and his mom also made some very cute Christmas cards.

Should Dogs Wear Shoes in the Snow?
You may have noticed Scooby had diesel winter gear, including a beautiful red coat and black boots for the snow.
Many dogs wear shoes like this when the weather gets snowy in the winter, but you may wonder whether it’s really necessary.
After all, even 20 years ago, dogs didn’t wear shoes in inclement weather.
And if your pup is anything like mine, they refuse to wear the shoes, and it’s just not worth the trouble if we aren’t going to stay out that long, anyway.
But if you do live somewhere where your dog is repeatedly out in the snow, and they are having the following issues, you may want to consider getting the booties, according to VetDesk.com:
-
The dog has to pick up its paws repeatedly
-
The dog frequently licks their footpads when outside
-
A dog’s pads are dry, split, or cracked
-
You walk on a lot of sidewalks or roads that have de-icer or salt rocks
Just make sure you get a nice jacket and shoes like Scooby!
