Labradoodle Snores Through a Post-Holiday Nap Like He Earned It

We all know that the holidays are exhausting. Whether you are a parent trying to pull off an epic surprise present or a dog trying to deal with all the hustle and bustle of your humans, it can all just be so tiring.

The post-holiday nap definitely hits differently, though. After all the presents have been opened, the delicious foods have been eaten, and every single surprise has taken place, it’s time to hop into bed and relax your body and mind. But if you’re a Labradoodle, you’ll jump into your ball pit and gather up those z’s in style.

Sampson, the Labradoodle, really knows how to unwind correctly, and he didn’t waste any time getting himself situated and ready for his post-holiday slumber. As his human shared in a recent TikTok video, @sampson_the_dood was totally exhausted from the day’s events; he just needed to hit the hay.

It’s the snoring that really drives home just how tired he must have been. Mom jokes in the caption, saying, “No one sleeps harder the day after Christmas than a dog who did absolutely nothing all day,” and honestly, that’s totally relatable.

My two pups did nothing except sniff packages, tear up wrapping paper, and snack on morsels of food that people dropped for them. However, they slept soundly for hours, as if they had run a full marathon.

Many followers found Sampson’s post-celebration nap to be perfectly acceptable. One commenter said, “Christmas is overstimulating. I’m with him. I need 3-5 business days to recover. LOL!” while another person pointed out, “I’m sure he had to provide entertainment for all the guests. That is a heck of a job!”

Watching this adorable Labradoodle all snuggled up in his ball pit makes me want to curl up in my bed with a good book and continue my own post-holiday recovery time. His level of relaxation is one of my life’s greatest goals!
