Rare Blue-Eyed Merle Corgi Puppy Shows off His New Tricks Like a Pro

Most puppies are cute, and some puppies are clearly very proud of themselves. Finn, a merle Cardigan Corgi puppy with striking pale blue eyes, falls firmly into the second category. In a short clip, he happily shows off everything he’s learned so far—sitting, offering his paw, lying down, and even mastering “leave it.”

After each successful trick, Finn’s mom rewards him with a tiny piece of cheese, and his focus never wavers. He watches closely, waits patiently, and pops right back into position, clearly understanding that good things happen when he listens. The result is a perfectly paced training session that’s as satisfying to watch as it is adorable. Just look at this beautiful and smart little baby!

Listen, there’s nothing better than a well-trained pupper, and Finn on the TikTok account @finn.the.corgi3 is one smart little cookie. In addition to being a tiny little genius, people are absolutely in love with how beautiful this Corgi is. One person said, “That’s about the most gorgeous Corgi I have ever seen…”

Someone else added, “Oh my goodness, the cutest and smartest little baby!”

He’s so cute, in fact, a few people thought he was an AI creation, but nope, he’s a real dog, in case you wanted another clip of him.

One thing about Finn and this routine is that rather than rushing or losing interest, the puppy stays locked in, responding quickly and confidently to each cue. It’s a great example of how positive reinforcement can help young dogs build both skills and enthusiasm at the same time.

Why High-Reward Treats Like Cheese Work So Well for Training

High-value treats like cheese work especially well during training because they’re motivating and memorable. Strong-smelling, tasty rewards help pups stay focused and quickly connect a behavior with a positive outcome.

Using small pieces allows trainers to reinforce good behavior without overfeeding, while keeping sessions upbeat and engaging. When dogs associate learning with something they truly love, they’re more likely to stay attentive, confident, and eager to keep trying, just like Finn.
