Newly Adopted Ragdoll Cats Fall Instantly in Love With Dad

Just like it happens with infants, a pair of Ragdoll kittens has apparently pushed their pet papa to the brink of exhaustion.

Dad can barely keep his eyes open, but the Ragdoll brothers are still looking to play! (Well, at least one of them! The other appears to be just as tired as Dad!)

Still, this is a super-sweet bonding moment for new pet parents who are just getting to know their little kitties.

“Reason #5,506 to get Ragdolls: within 6 hours of picking them up, they were already bonded with us,” the parents say on TikTok. “Affection to match the cuteness.”

Fans can’t get enough of the Ragdoll brothers staying close to their new dad and giving him lots of love. Viewers shared tons of pictures on TikTok of their own kitties, as well as stories about how their Ragdolls, Tabbies, and Shorthairs quickly bonded with them.

“Enjoy every second, they grow up so quickly,” a viewer said. “My 6-month-old Ragdoll bonded with me the same night she moved home.”

“Two minutes after I picked my girl up from the shelter, they handed her to me, and she rubbed herself all over my mom and me,” added another.

How Do You Bond With Your Cat?

Well, there’s no foolproof method of winning a kitty’s love. Cats often have their own way of building trust and affection. With that, PetMD has some strategies!

First, set up your cat for successful bonding with food, fresh water, a clean litter box, and plenty of warm places to rest.

Next, give them their own space. It may appear counterintuitive, but a critical step in helping your kitty build trust is leaving them alone to adjust.

Additionally, let them come to you! As excited as you may be to cuddle your new kitty, it’s best to allow them to initiate interaction with you when they are ready.

By the looks of things, it seems like these Ragdolls and their parents have been following these guidelines to a tee!
