Anytime I’m in need of a pick-me-up, I know I can always count on kittens to get the job done. Watching the cute, funny ways they learn to navigate the world is truly an instant boost of sunshine. It’s been a while since I’ve had a kitty so small to entertain me, so I have to live vicariously through all the internet’s most adorable felines to get my fill.
One itty-bitty, tiny black rescue kitten named Lowe’s is exactly the boy for the job. If it’s not his incredible story or his wiry, pipe-cleaner-looking frame, he’ll get you with his quirky, way-too-cute moves with a “skedaddle” ending!
The little Black Cat who “looks like he’s made out of pipe cleaners” is what any child might draw, and he’s perfection. His awkward gait and lanky limbs only add to the mystique. Described as “scrambly” and “a vague concept of a cat,” Lowe’s and all his wild and free ways could warm anyone’s cold, dead heart with one post.
By looking at him now, you wouldn’t know how much this little fighter overcame to skedaddle. In the truest sense of the word, Lowe’s is an inspiration to anyone feeling like the odds are stacked against them.

The Lowe’s Visit That Started It All
Discovered in May 2025 by employees at, where else, Lowe’s Home and Garden Center, this little cutie was injured, malnourished, and in desperate need of TLC. His injuries required immediate medical intervention to survive, with his chances of making it pretty low.
Thanks to his loving foster mom, the rescue kitten began his journey of healing, which included nutrient-dense formula, snuggles, medications, and love, if he would ever learn to walk again.
As you can see, he not only recovered, but he’s gotten stronger, faster, and even more handsome since all of that. Here’s how he looked when he was found:
The pint-sized cat’s journey has been a long one, but now, he’s walking, playing, and skedaddling like the best of them. You’d never guess what Lowe’s has been through by looking at him, but the tiny rescue kitten and all his cartoonish ways are literal proof that a little hope (and grit) turns tragedy into triumph.
