Hi there, I’m Peppa!
I came to the shelter as a stray and am now looking for a fresh start and a place to call home. When I first arrived, I was pretty nervous and unsure, but thanks to the kind and patient staff here, I’m learning that I’m safe and cared for while I wait for my forever family.
I can be a little nervous about things like medical exams, so the staff is helping me build confidence through gentle handling and fun training activities. They’re also helping me get back to a healthy weight (I’m a bit chubby right now – guess I enjoyed some good snacks before coming in!).

One thing you should know about me right away: I love to play! Fetch is my absolute favorite game, and I’m happiest when I’m outside having fun with my people. And when playtime is done? I turn into a total cuddle bug. The staff says it best: “She loves to give hugs and snuggles and is full of love all the time!”
I may be a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, my affectionate and loving personality really shines. I can be enthusiastic with my affection and would benefit from some basic training to help me be my best self.
Right now, the shelter is still learning how I do with other dogs. I’ve shown some reactivity and haven’t joined playgroups yet, so a patient home willing to continue positive training would be wonderful. Because I can be nervous, I’d do best in a home with mature teens or adults, at least for now.
I would love to find a foster home – or even better, a forever home – where I can keep growing, playing, and sharing all the love I have to give. If you’re looking for a playful, snuggly companion with a big heart, I might just be your girl!
Come meet me today to see if we would be a good fit together!
