Meet NorthJersey.com’s adoptable pet of the week for Oct. 31!
Each week, NorthJersey.com would like to highlight adoptable animals from local shelters and rescues.
If you foster, work at, or volunteer with a North Jersey animal shelter or rescue and know of some animals who are in need of a loving fur-ever home please send a photo, description and adoption information to amwallace@gannett.com to have your adoptable pets featured in the next edition.
This week we are featuring Arthur from the West Milford Animal Shelter.
Arthur
Arthur is available for adoption at the West Milford Animal Shelter.
Arthur is a 6-year-old cane corso. He arrived at the West Milford Animal Shelter about a month ago after he and a companion dog were taken from a home in poor condition.
At the time of his arrival, Arthur was underweight and suffering from ear infections and sore paws, among other things. Since then, he has received veterinary care and medication, and his health has improved. The shelter has also found that he is allergic to some foods, including chicken, so a special diet is necessary.
Arthur is a companion dog who loves to be indoors with people and may think of himself as a lap dog or indoor cat. He is very affectionate, peaceful and mellow, is not aggressive in any way and does not pull on walks.
Calm, friendly and easygoing, Arthur would be a great companion for the right person.
If you are interested in Arthur, you can kick off the adoption process by contacting the West Milford Animal Shelter.
