Nola the dog is bringing her support for her team to new heights.
Dressed in a Buffalo Bills jersey, Nola is herself quite the athlete in this video posted on her TikTok account @noseynola. She can first be seen climbing a snowy tree and then boosting herself onto the facing fence in her yard. She uses her front legs to inch along the top while keeping one hind leg glued to the tree for support. It’s a display of flexibility, balance, and bravery that many first-time viewers of her abilities assumed was AI-generated. So much so that her mom had to post another video on her account refuting such claims.
But Nola’s loyal fans defended the marvelous mutt, pointing out that her genetics are partly responsible for her special skills.
“Clearly, people don’t know what a tree-climbing Coonhound does if they think it’s AI,” pointed out one viewer.
And Nola’s own neighbor chimed in, “I live next door, and I promise this is all real!” And she would know, since Nola apparently climbs the fence and peeks into her yard regularly.
I guess she isn’t called Nosey Nola for nothing.

Meet the Tree Walker Coonhound
Yes, the Tree Walker Coonhound is an actual AKC-recognized breed. Could there be a more fitting name for this uniquely skilled dog? It isn’t clear to us how much of Nola’s DNA is Coonhound, but I think it’s safe to say that this rescue dog is at least partially Tree Walker.
Tree Walkers were bred and continue to be used as raccoon hunters, and their skills in that field are unsurpassed. They can chase an animal up a tree or other tall structure and are trained to wait there until their human arrives. Hence, Nola’s exceptional balance and fearlessness when it comes to heights.
Clearly, any dog that can master such physical skills is energetic, intelligent, and driven, so bringing a Tree Walker into your home requires a great deal of commitment. Like other breeds that share the Coonhound’s traits, the more mental and physical stimulation they receive, the happier and better-behaved they will be. However, the Tree Walker has certain special considerations given their propensity for exploration: they need plenty of outdoor access and a secure yard so that their climbing doesn’t turn into escaping.
I wonder if Josh Allen has seen Nola’s gravity-defying performance? Bills mascot anyone?
