Like a fish to water?
Not so fast!
In an adorable clip on TikTok, a Corgi appears to have no interest in swimming in a pool, even though that’s what her pet parents signed her up for! They probably thought she’d love it, but her face tells a different story. Take a look at this girl.
“Thinking about the time we paid $50/hour for her to enjoy swimming,” the sweet girl’s pet parents note, “only for her to stay on the float the whole time!”
Of course, not every dog likes water as much as a Labrador Retriever, but come on, this girl looks like she wouldn’t even dare get her front paws wet!
Fans can’t get enough of this Corgi, sharing lots of observations as well as their own pets’ poolside antics.

“Look at that balance, though. Her core is strong,” added another. “So not a total waste.”

“One thing about a Corgi is they aren’t ever going to do anything they don’t want to,” said a third.
Do Corgis Like To Swim?
Corgis have mixed feelings about swimming. Some love it, while others hate it. In fact, their short legs and long bodies make them poor natural swimmers. But strap a life jacket on them and slowly introduce them to water, and maybe your Corgi will become the next Michael Phelps or Katie Ledecky!
This reminds me of when I’d take my three rambunctious boys to the little kiddie gym in town, shell out a bunch of money to have them go wild on the equipment, and watch as they sat quietly in a corner playing with a toy they brought from home! (only to get home and have them instantly return to their wild ways!)
Regardless, it seems like this gal eventually took the plunge based on a photo of her with wet fur. That said, her expression definitely suggests that she’s had enough time at the pool and is a Corgi who prefers dry land.
Still, she’s so sweet!
