French Bulldog Hops Up Stairs Like He’s a Bunny and It’s Hilarious

When we first adopted my rescue Pug mix from Puerto Rico, we noticed some fears he had right off the bat. Loud noises made him nervous, he ran away from brooms, and he was afraid to go up or down steps. We assumed that since he was a beach dog, he was used to level ground and found any upward or downward motion a bit intimidating. It took some time but he overcame his fear.

Del the French Bulldog doesn’t seem to have any stair phobia and takes on each step with a playful bounce.

In the TikTok from @delthedog_, the little Frenchie had a clear spring in his step as he bounded up the stairs. Instead of taking the steps one paw at a time, Del adorably hopped like a bunny up the stairs. Somehow, the canine cutie mastered the art of lifting all four paws at the same time for the perfect hop, making him even more rabbit-like.

Apparently, the fur baby’s fun way of climbing comes with a cost. Del’s little paws pack enough punch to make a dent in the carpet.

“What are those marks on the side of your stairs from?” the onscreen text read, with the caption adding, “They’re from a little bunny.”

This stairway journey was not an isolated incident. Previous posts revealed that this is a regular practice for the precious pooch, with one clip hilariously showing the process in slow motion.

Del’s Bunny Hops Delighted Followers

Del’s delightful step-hop amused viewers of the video, with some marveling at this very special talent.

“This is actually very dangerous because your dog can actually become a rabbit and start stealing all your carrots,” one joked.

“I would never change my carpet ever,” another commented.

“I’m trying not to giggle but he’s so cute — why is he using all legs at once?” a follower asked.

“How does one make hopping up stairs so gentle and polite?” someone pondered.

“It’s like watching someone run with the same arm and leg,” a fan posted.

Hopefully, the social media account will post a video of Del coming down the stairs so we can see if he uses the same technique.
