Injured Rescue Dog Has Most Powerful Comeback After Losing Use of His Back Legs

Niall Harbison is a well-known animal advocate and posts many of his street dog rescues on social media. Numerous dogs he comes across through his Thailand rescue, Happy Doggo, are severely ill or injured, and he has to act fast to get them out of critical condition.

Spock the Terrier mix was one of those cases where he had been hit by a car and was in serious medical distress. Thanks to Harbison’s help and Spock’s fighting spirit, the precious pooch made quite a comeback.

In the Instagram video from @wearehappydoggo, Harbison shared Spock’s story beginning with his devastating accident.

“This street dog was hit by a car and his back legs stopped working,” the onscreen text explained as Harbison gently pulled Spock out from underneath a car.

The damage to the small black, gray and white Terrier mix’s legs was severe to the point where he was “screaming in pain from his injuries”. Harbison rushed him to a specialized hospital for a “life-saving operation,” which turned everything around for Spock.

“It wasn’t an easy journey, Spock lost complete use of his back legs and we’ve had to work on his rehab daily,” the story continued.

Spock Bounced Back

With a dedicated team in his corner, Spock not only survived but thrived thanks to his tireless work and determination.

“Six months later, just look at him now, his hard work has paid off and he’s loving life,” the caption raved as Spock joyfully ran around and rolled in the grass. The fearless fur baby’s legs are back in action and he’s living life to the fullest.

“What a comeback!” the story concluded. “We love you Spock.”
