Remember going out to play as kids and waiting for your best friend to come join you? That feeling of anticipation and excitement was the best because you just knew some fun was about to happen. Honestly, we still feel that way when we get to see our best friend who lives three states away!
Golden Retrievers Bernie and Briggs are exactly the same way and can’t wait for their friend Gus to come over and play with them in the snow. Watch as the two sit patiently, waiting for him to join them. Gus’s garage door slowly goes up, and you might expect him to dart right out, but he doesn’t. Instead, he takes a few cautious looks around before deciding it’s time. Once he heads over to see his friends, though, he wastes absolutely no time at all!
This video is so full of joy! Commenter @mikehoncho007 agreed, “If this doesn’t make you smile, you are probably a very miserable person.”
We laughed when Bernie and Briggs’ pawrents said in the caption, “Gus was coming in HOT!” He certainly did, and we’re so glad we got to see it!
After your dogs play in the snow, be sure to check their paws to make sure no salt, small pieces of wood, or other hidden debris are stuck between their pads. If they like to bury their heads in the snow, it’s also important to thoroughly dry their ears afterward to help prevent ear infections, especially for breeds like Golden Retrievers, who are more prone to them.
