Our pets can be very particular, to the point that they’ll refuse to do certain things unless everything is just right. A perfect example is a chicken named Poppy, who flat-out refuses to lay her eggs in the coop and will only lay them in one very specific chair, no matter what the weather conditions are.
Wild Roots Farm shared a video of Poppy heading to her chair in the middle of a snowstorm to take care of business. When her mom sees Poppy trudging through the deep snow, she rushes out to help, carrying her through what looks like at least a foot of snow to what she calls Poppy’s “egg chair”…which, of course, is also completely covered in snow!
It’s clear that Poppy is a very stubborn girl! It seems like it would be much warmer and more comfy if she laid her eggs in the coop. Her mom explained more in the caption, “Egg laid, and she’s been carried back to the coop. Poppy will not lay in the coop. I have changed the material in the boxes a few different times, but she still likes her chair up by the house.”
We love that her mom put the umbrella up to give her some privacy and protection from the snow!
