Who doesn’t love grandma’s special home cooking? From pasta and meatballs to cookies, cakes, and just about any kind of tasty food you can think of, chances are that grandma has a special recipe for it. But some grandmas don’t just make human food; some also make special, tasty canine treats, like “pupcakes.”
The grandma in this video recently made her grand dog some very special pupcakes for their sleepover. The furry recipient of this special snack that was made with the utmost tender love and care was a massive Newfoundland fur baby, who adorably goes by the name of Chewy.
Well, Chewy and grandma certainly know how to get a sleepover off on the right paw. Chewy was just so happy to get these special pupcakes from his grandma, and she seemed absolutely delighted to make them for her precious grand dog.
Honestly, this video is so wholesome that it is hard to imagine it not filling someone’s heart with absolute joy! What’s more, grandma’s special pupcake recipe was even posted in this video’s comments section.

According to this post, the recipe consists of: one egg, 1/3 cup applesauce, one big scoop of peanut butter (salt-free and non-processed/without birch sugar, also known as xylitol), 1 cup of oats, one big scoop of Greek yogurt, and half a banana. These pupcakes then cook in the oven for 18 to 22 minutes at 350°.
Watching Chewy and His Grandma Is So Wholesome

Some social media users commented that watching Chewy and grandma together inspires them to want to have a wholesome relationship like this with the animals in their life: “Every time I see these videos, my heart smiles and gets a little teary too. Some viewers and social media remarked that every dog deserves to have a grandma like Chewy’s and shared personal stories about the relationship between their dogs and grandma: “Every dog needs a grandma like that… my mother-in-law used to make extra meals for my dog when my ex-husband and his youngest son would take my dog for the weekend. It was absolutely adorable. He loved going to grandma’s.”
