Paralyzed Orange Cat’s Adorable ‘Self Tuck-In’ Is Way Too Cute

One of the greatest things about being a cat parent is knowing they’re mostly self-sufficient. As long as they have enough food, fresh water, and a clean litter box, they’re good to go. Like the complete opposite of a human toddler who requires help at every turn, cats love their independence, even tucking themselves into bed.

That’s what one paralyzed rescue cat named Ryder does daily. However, once you see this sweet little guy’s interesting position, you’ll question what your idea of “comfort” really means!

The adorable video is like a picture-perfect showcase of what a paralyzed cat is capable of! While it looks like it would be super uncomfy, Ryder’s snooze fest suggests otherwise!

“His little routines never fail to melt me… even with paralysis, he always finds his own way to get comfortable. I could watch him do this all day,” his mom captioned the post, and many of his nearly 28k Instagram followers agree.

“He looks like a little cinnamon roll the way he tucked his head in,” one fan joked. “I wish to sleep that cozy and deep,” another remarked. Others swooned at his special St. Paddy’s Day bandages, which only made the scene more precious.

Ryder Has Come a Long Way

Paralyzed cats in general are strong, resilient, and total inspirations for never letting life get you down, and Ryder’s such a great example of all of that. In a previous video explaining his harrowing rescue story, it’s clear his mom was meant to find and save him.

“Ryder’s story is one of heartbreak, strength, and inspiration,” she captioned the post. “Dumped in a bag with a broken back, I knew instantly I had to save him, as no one else would. Now, he lives an amazing life, just a little differently.”

Take a look at the former stray’s journey and try not to cry a million tears.

We’re so glad Ryder found such a loving home for his second chance at life, where he can snuggle up and sleep in any position he fancies!
