Golden Retriever Brothers Must Work Together on Epic Ball Retrieval Mission

The pure hearts of dogs never cease to amaze me. This is especially true of Golden Retrievers, who as a breed, are known for their patience, loving nature, and friendly disposition. They can also be a bit goofy at times, which makes them even more lovable.

Link and Otto are an adorable Golden Retriever duo who constantly keep their humans guessing. Recently, these two were spotted feverishly trying to dig through their dog bed—and of course, inquiring minds want to know what they were looking for with such conviction.

@thegoldenbruvs shared a clip of the boys, who were convinced that the fastest way to retrieve the item from under their bed was to use their paws and go through the bouncy surface. The hilarious video shows both pups frantically trying their hardest to unearth the object. One commenter joked, “Me titling my phone to see what’s under there!”😂 That comment alone prompted more than 60 other viewers to admit they did the same thing!

As the two dogs keep up their search, it’s easy to imagine the thoughts running through their heads. The cream-colored pup, Link, is standing on the bed (which resembles a small trampoline), and he’s giving maximum effort to the cause. A fan commented, “Performing CPR? This is hilarious and actually typical for a Golden. You just have to love them!” 😂😍❤️

Meanwhile, his brother Otto takes a more conventional approach—jumping on the bed, then sticking the entire upper half of his body underneath it—which ultimately leads to his success. Another person said, “I DO love that they are a TEAM, regardless of how weird or unclear the goal.”

By now, you may have guessed that these two were chasing after a very elusive ball—one that had escaped all conventional means of retrieval… or at least it felt that way to them! A fellow Golden Retriever mom totally gets it, saying, “If my Golden Retriever’s ball went over a cliff, she would jump after it.”
