German Shepherd Knows Head Tilts Are the Key To Getting Everything He Ever Wanted

If you knew a way to get everything you wanted, it would be tempting to exploit your trick, wouldn’t it?

One geniusGerman Shepherd has discovered that simply by tilting his head from one side to the other, he’s able to convince his pet mama to give him whatever his heart desires.

In a clip uploaded to TikTok, we meet Mav, who is not only adorable, but also pretty darn smart—and if we had to guess, possibly the king of the castle.

“So you think you can just tilt your head like that and it’s gonna convince me to give you whatever you want?” Mav’s human captions the clip. “Well, you’re absolutely right. What do you want? Do you want a treat? Do you want my soul? Do you want my loyalty? I’ll give you anything.”

Ha! Pet parents can completely relate.

“Ummmmm, yes! Take it all!” one viewer wrote.

“Those fluffy ears are a game changer for everything 😂❤,” another stated.

How Smart Are German Shepherds?

German Shepherds have earned their reputation as one of the smartest breeds around. Their intelligence and ability to learn and acquire skills allow them to work as watchdogs, police dogs, and guide dogs for the blind.

But just how smart are these canines? According to experts, they’re as intelligent as a human three-year-old, while the average dog is as smart as a two-and-a-half-year-old.

What is the most intelligent breed? Turns out Border Collies take the top spot, followed by Poodles, with German Shepherds rounding out the top three.

I can say from experience that this is a very smart breed. My grandparents had German Shepherds, and my grandmother taught their dogs to fetch my grandfather for dinner each evening. Here’s how it worked: My grandmother’s beloved pet would stand beside her in the kitchen as she prepared the nightly meal, and when it was finished, she’d turn to her German Shepherd and say, “Go get Dad!” and off the dog would trot from the kitchen through the living room and out to the sunporch to nudge my grandfather’s arm. Quite a system!

Mav quickly learned that his sweet head tilt won his mama’s heart. Wondering how often he exploits this maneuver?

“Head tilts at everything,” his mama writes. LOL.
