Livestock Guardian Dog’s Excitement Over Meeting Tiny Baby Goat Is the Cutest Thing We’ve Seen All Day

Is there anything more precious than watching a loyal and loving dog meet a new baby sibling for the first time? No, there is not.

Just take a look at this video of Sevn, the Livestock Guardian dog, finally meeting his tiny new baby goat sibling, Vosges, for the first time, and you will instantly see what we mean.

From the moment they are introduced, Sevn’s tail is wagging, and he’s whimpering with excitement! However, he was almost too excited. That’s because Vosges’s mother, Alsace, was by her baby’s side, and Sevn wasn’t sure if she would allow him to meet Vosges.

Thankfully, she was, and oh boy, was Sevn happy! After Sevn’s human mama helped him calm down a little bit, he finally got to introduce himself to baby Vosges, affectionately sniffing him to let him know, “Hey, were going to be friends for now on, and I’m going to protect you!”

And baby Vosges sweetly sniffed Sven back as if to say, “Cool, dude!” Afterwards, Sven was happy as a clam, playfully stretching and excitedly moving around the barn to show how joyful he was to have a new friend!

The Internet couldn’t get enough of Sevn’s adorable nerves. Instagram user maryanneibel jokingly wrote, “Sven is brave against all predators, but mama goat is too scary for him, LOL!”

While Instagram user miamiempeditor was experiencing total cuteness overload when they wrote, “He feels so much joy he can’t hold it in… Now he has another sweet little soul to protect!”

And Instagram user sherms77 remarked how incredible it is to see animals of two vastly different species having such a heartwarming interaction when they wrote, “Super cool seeing different animals communicate like that. Momma goat knows what the dog does for them, and that’s the coolest.”

Sven Is a Top-Notch Livestock Guardian

As this other video shows, Sven, as sweet as he can be, is also a very capable protector. In this footage, his human mama shows off how he and his Livestock Guardian sibling, Olaf, use the jump hole in the fence to patrol the perimeter at night.

According to this video, Sevn’s farm is located in the Northern Rockies, where wolves, grizzly bears, and mountain lions roam free, so his animal siblings, including the adorable baby Vosges, need protecting. Thankfully, Sevn is there, and he clearly loves his animal siblings so much that we know he will always keep them safe.
