Word to the wise — leave the grooming to the professionals. That’s the hilarious lesson that one person learned after attempting to give their dog a haircut and uh…well you’ll just have to see the results for yourself. They’re downright hysterical. Thank goodness the person brought the pup to the groomers, otherwise the dog was still going to have major Beetlejuice vibes.
The problem here is that the human started with the dog’s head — and then stopped completely. The whole thing really had a striking effect on the dog, which is putting it lightly.
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! It’s like someone was summoning the spirit when the dog lover was giving their small dog a haircut. Do you remember the waiting room for the dead? Hilariously, the dog looked like he belonged there. His head was so tiny compared to the rest of his body, which was untouched. The difference was huge!

“We shaved his head at home, can you guys shave the rest?” the video’s text overlay reads, quoting what the dog’s paw-rents must have told the groomer.
“Poor fella,” the groomer joked in the caption.
Commenters were cracking up. They couldn’t get over the dog’s unique new look.
“He probably doesn’t like his face messed with, they probably saved y’all a mauling,” joked one person.
“I love when dogs are 80 percent fluff and 20 percent actual dog,” another person teased.
“I actually think you shouldn’t do anything at all, he’s perfect just like this,” quipped another commenter.
“His tail being bigger than his head. I’m freaking dying,” chimed in someone else.
At-Home Grooming Tips
This video is proof that at-home grooming isn’t easy. It can take a turn for the worst. To prevent something like this from happening to your pup, always trim your dog’s fur when it’s dry and clean. Start with your dog’s neck and then work your way down, keeping the blade close to the dog’s skin.
Be gentle around your dog’s thinner skin, like on their belly, underarms, and where their thigh meets their hips. This is definitely a tricky process. So if you feel nervous at all, it’s probably best left to the professionals. They’ll always get your dog’s fur right!
