Golden Retriever Is the Cutest Little Drama King ‘Telling’ Mom He Hurt His Nose

Before I had dogs, I often heard people compare them to kids—especially when it comes to bringing the drama over pretty much everything. I have two pups now, each with their own distinct personality, and there’s never a dull moment.

Duke, the Golden Retriever, is his mom’s “only child,” which means he knows the world stops when he needs something. In a recent video, this precious pup ran right to his favorite human when he hurt his nose, and it’s the sweetest thing ever.

If ever there was an award for “performance by a cute dog,” Duke would win multiple times over. Being Mom’s main man means he can get away with anything, but when he’s hurt and rushes in for comfort, it’s one precious scene.

When a dog trusts us to make them feel better, it’s the greatest feeling in the world, and that’s exactly what Duke did here. The good boy somehow cut his nose while playing outside. It’s nothing too serious, but the sweet pup knew Mom’s affection was the only thing that would fix it.

Dramatic, sure, but also equal parts adorable. This is his way of communicating, and it’s sending his fans into a frenzy.

“Cancelling all plans until Duke’s recovery,” one follower wrote. “Well, my weekend is ruined,” another joked. “Oh gosh, I have to cancel plans this weekend to process,” another added.

Duke Is the Cutest Drama King

When you’re the only child of a mom who’s obsessed with you, chances are you’re living the life we all dream of. Seeing as Duke’s mom, Zarah, shares their tight-knit bond with the rest of us, we have definitive proof that Duke is thriving!

His nose is healing, but he’s soaking up all the attention he can get (as any pup would do!). Personal space means nothing when you’ve got a Golden Retriever like this funny guy.

Though Duke suffered with that nose injury, it’s clear he’s doing just fine now that Mom’s giving him extra snuggles. The smart boy knows how to milk every second, but he’s so cute, he deserves it!
