She’s a mama’s girl alright! One sweet mini donkey can’t get enough of her mom. She loves being with her and cozying up for a snuggle. Just take a look at the way the donk sat herself on her mom’s lap and refused to get up. The two were perfectly happy cuddling up together — it was so stinkin’ cute.
Chelsea Caldwell of Tennessee is one lucky woman. She has so many donkeys on her farm, but Stella really is something special.
Chelsea and her family have such special connections to all of the donkeys that live with them. They aren’t just pets, they’re family. So many clips show them bonding with their donkeys. They love them so much!

Just take a look at how much Stella enjoys being with her mom. The donkey was perfectly peaceful sitting in her mama’s lap. In fact, the mini donkey was so comfortable that she was about to start dozing. Poor mom! If Stella falls asleep, something tells me she’s going to be there for a long time.

Donkeys are very friendly animals. Although it must be said that while human company is certainly good for them, they are best when they have another donkey friend. Donkeys can easily get lonely. They aren’t really good on their own. So if you’re going to get a donkey, make sure you get two!
