Rescue Pit Bull’s Loving Reaction to Piglet Rejected By Her Mom Is the Best


Champ, the Pit Bull stationed himself over his new Piglet friend after his mom rescued her from her mother.

In the heartwarming TikTok with the text overlay “Our rescue dog‘s reaction to a piglet we had to bring in after it’s mother almost killed it,” the sweet Pit Bull laid his head close to the piglet and kept an eye on her while she slept soundly. When mom pet Champ, he still made sure not to be too far away from the piglet.

“When we found [the piglet], she was cold, stiff and lifeless,” Champ’s mom explained in the caption of the TikTok. “We got her inside and warmed her up, and Champ is taking good care of her.

According to his mom, Champ was also a rescue that she took in after someone had “dumped him at the shelter” back in January. Now, Champ loves to cuddle with mom and “read books until he falls asleep.”

Users couldn’t get enough of the tender moment between Champ and his new-found friend the piglet and said that “Animals are just better than people.”

“Champ is so concerned and wants to help,” one user wrote while another said “that’s his baby now.”

Others couldn’t wait to “watch their friendship unfold” online while one person added, “Animals are the best… we should learn how to love from them.”

All about the Pit Bull’s friendly demeanor

Despite the misconceptions, American Pit Bull Terriers are a friendly and affectionate breed of dog. According to Spruce Pets, Pit Bulls are known to have a playful and loving temperment that love to play outside.

They are also “known for their love of comfort” and “will happily snuggle up to their people on the couch at the end of the day after exercise and playtime.” So it’s no surprise that Champ is so sweet and affectionate with the piglet.

Pit Bullhave historically helped with protecting property, which explains their natural protectiveness over the people and places they love most. Their sweet nature also has made them “excellent service and therapy dogs” as well.
