There are dogs. And then there are dogs who look like they were gently placed on a shelf at Anthropologie and priced at $42. George is the second kind.
He’s stretched out on a leather couch, chewing on a stick treat, looking deeply contemplative, like he’s had a long day managing something important. The wiry fur. The slightly rumpled face. The whole “I am a well-loved stuffed animal who pays taxes” vibe.
TikTok user @georgethewire shared the clip with the caption, “If you think the stick looks like a cigarette, mind your business. It’s been a long day of barking,” which is honestly art.
He chews slowly. Thoughtfully. Like he’s reflecting.
And the comments absolutely locked onto the stuffed-animal energy.

One person wrote, “He looks like a Jellycat!”
Another said, “He’s so Webkinz.”
“He looks just like Kipper the Dog,” someone added, and honestly, that one unlocked a memory.
“Let him have his smoke, he earned it,” another joked.
Someone else wrote, “He looks fake in the best way, OMG.”
And the one that made me pause: “He looks like he’d be in an animated Wes Anderson movie.” Which is painfully accurate. I can see him framed perfectly in pastel lighting, staring into the middle distance, while quirky music plays in the background. Or a Cat Stevens song.
There is something about wiry-haired dogs that makes them look permanently well-loved. Slightly scruffy. Slightly distinguished. Like they’ve been carried around for years and still remain adorable.
Meatball, my Maine Coon, would absolutely knock George off that couch just to assert dominance. He cannot handle decorative energy in this house. If it looks curated, he must disrupt it.
Is a Wire Fox Terrier the Right Dog for You?
Wire Fox Terriers are energetic, intelligent, and known for their bold personalities. They were originally bred for hunting, which means they often have a strong prey drive and plenty of stamina.
They thrive in homes that can provide mental stimulation, consistent training, and regular exercise. Their wiry coats require grooming to maintain that signature scruffy look.
If you love dogs with personality, expressiveness, and a little bit of comedic timing, a Wire Fox Terrier might be a great fit. Just be prepared for a dog who thinks they run the house. Because, honestly, they probably will.
