Cats Can’t Stop Beefing With a Certain Drawer in Their Kitchen

As much as I adore cats, I will be the first to admit that many of them have some truly odd behaviors (including my own). Sometimes, when they’re acting funny, it’s easy to find an explanation… and other times, I’m pretty sure they just behave bizarrely to keep us on our toes.

Case in point: The three cats gathered around the kitchen cabinet drawer in the video below. There’s something shady about that drawer, but they can’t tell us what.

This TikTok video shared by @portawart shows three cats—a Tuxedo cat and a gray cat, who are later joined by an Orange Cat as the investigation continues—looking at and pawing at a kitchen drawer very suspiciously. Why? No one knows, including their humans.

“At least they are bonding,” their mom wrote in the video’s caption.

That is definitely a silver lining… even if their bonding activity is a bit odd.

What’s Actually Happening in That Drawer?

After watching the first video, people are dying to know what’s actually going on in that set of cabinets that has three cats totally enraptured by them, and fortunately, their mom has been happy to keep everyone updated.

In a follow-up video, she explained that this had been going on for a while, and they’ve all investigated several theories. A lot of commenters suggested there might be an animal back there that they can all smell, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Her current standing theory? That the cats are a little taken aback by their own reflections, which they can see in the cabinet.

“They’ve never been scared of their reflections before, but maybe seeing it on such a small scale, the single brain cell couldn’t comprehend,” their mom wrote.

That could definitely be it… but if it’s not, I will be waiting for updates. I need to know what happens!
