Brody, the Cockatoo, has developed a lot of patience when it comes to his sister, Sweet Pea. He does his best to stay focused on his project, carefully working away like the dedicated little architect he is. But every now and then, Mom has to step in and restore peace to the construction zone before a full showdown breaks out between the two birds.

In a recent TikTok video shared by Wendy Albright, also known as @theparrotlady, Brody was hard at work building his fort on the kitchen counter. This adorable bird absolutely loves “building” with cardboard boxes of all shapes and sizes. He’s perfectly content when he’s left alone, happily shredding the cardboard, rearranging his materials, and generally just hanging out in what can only be described as his personal mecca.

Well, Sweet Pea decided she needed to be involved in the building—or the destroying—of Brody’s hard work. Thankfully, Mom was on top of things and served an eviction notice quickly. Unfortunately, Sweet Pea did not go quietly. In true dramatic fashion, the sister Cockatoo grabbed the “front door” of Brody’s cardboard house and took it with her on the way out.

Mom reaches into the fort to get Sweet Pea and says, “Come on. No, you can’t take that with you. Drop it. He wants that.” The Cockatoo chooses to ignore Mom’s request to drop the door and gently says, “Love you!” probably trying to smooth things over with Mom despite her naughty behavior!

The Comment Section Was Team Brody

Several followers were quick to chime in, suggesting that Brody must have been at his wits’ end. Comments poured in like, “Why is Sweet Pea always in Brody’s business?” and one viewer even asked, “Is Brody fed up?”

As Mom explains in the video description, “You all know that Brody spends his waking hours building forts out of cardboard, and Sweet Pea spends her hours trying to destroy said forts.” It’s basically their full-time job descriptions at this point.
