It is always adorable to watch how an animal behaves when they exhibit traits commonly associated with a different species. For instance, a horse that acts like a dog.

That’s the case with George, the horse, in this video. Why do we say that George believes he is a dog? Because he takes up and starts chewing on a stick, just like a dog would, and it is totally adorable!

But what makes this even cuter is how George attempts to get his equine siblings to chew on the stick with him, so that they can play tug-of-war together, just like precious, playful dogs will do!

According to this video, “George is a dog trapped in a horse body trying to teach the other grass puppies how to play tug-of-war.” If that caption doesn’t induce everyone into a state of total cuteness overload, we don’t know what will!

In this footage, George walks around with this stick in his mouth, and the expression on his face is very similar to how a canine acts when they have a stick in their mouth and want to play. He approaches his equine siblings, trying to tempt them to play with him. It’s like he’s trying to say, “Hey, everyone, see how much fun this is?”

Best of all, is that George succeeds! At the end of this clip, one of his horse siblings actually grabs onto the stick and starts tugging on it, while another one playfully sniffs it. It turns out that these horses really are just a bunch of overgrown grass puppies!

The Horses on This Farm Also Watch Over Their Cows Siblings

As this other video shows, these horses don’t just exhibit canine behaviors when they play with each other; they also exhibit “watchdog behaviors” when they are with their cow siblings.

In this clip, they patiently watch over their bovine siblings while their loving human mamas sing to them. It’s an amazing scene to witness, to be sure! It’s so wonderful to know that these horses have such a loving home and get to enjoy all of their grass puppy tendencies to their hearts’ content!
