Precious Puddle of Sleepy Ragdoll Kittens Looks Like Toasted Marshmallow Puffs


Ragdoll kittens are some of my favorite kittens in the entire world. I just think they’re so gorgeous, and as they grow up, they get even prettier. If that’s possible. Somehow, they make it so.

It takes them a while to get there, though. For a good chunk of their early life, they look like sleepy, fluffy marshmallows. Just look at this precious puddle of Ragdoll kittens! Their melty marshmallow faces will melt your heart:

I love that some of Toast the Ragdoll’s kittens are toastier than others. There are one brown one, two white ones, and one who a little in-between. This is Hazel first litter, though her mom hasn’t said whether she’s going to have another.

Toast is the father of this litter; their mother’s name is Hazel. They’re both rich, chocolatey-brown cats, though Hazel has some little white patches on her chest and paws. That’s where the babies get their marshmallowy coloring from.

Cats Have More Cats With Each Litter

Since this is her first litter, it makes sense that there aren’t a lot of kittens: most first-time mama cats will only have between 2-4 kittens. Their maiden litter comes while they’re still maturing most of the time. With each passing litter, a cat will have more kittens.

As far as Ragdolls specifically are concerned, 4-6 cats is about average for them. They may have more or fewer; older, more experienced cats may have more kittens. However, 6 is about the sweet spot in most cases.
