It began as a sweet, feel-good snapshot of a police officer and two adorable French bulldogs. But within hours, it had transformed into one of the internet’s most entertaining comment sections of the week.
Earlier this month, the Burbank Police Department posted a photo on Instagram from a recent service call. In the image, Officer Parks is seen standing outside a home, smiling as he holds one of the two Frenchies he met on duty. The second pup lingers nearby, happily sniffing the lawn.

Officer Parks Poses With Frenchies
In the caption, the department shared that Officer Parks had been greeted by the “lovely frenchies” and couldn’t resist giving them some pets and pausing for a quick photo. They added that “police officers love dogs,” and judging by his grin, that part seems entirely accurate.
But while the post was meant to spotlight a wholesome dog encounter, many viewers couldn’t help but notice the officer himself.

The Internet Is Smitten
As the photo gained traction, compliments (and plenty of playful jokes) flooded the comments. Before long, the entire thread turned into a running gag, with Instagram users humorously volunteering to be “arrested” by the good-looking officer.
One person wrote in the post’s comment section, “I just ran a red light in Burbank, come pull me over!!!!”
Another got highly specific with their joke: “I stole $2000 worth of items from target. I dare you to arrest me I’m in the parking lot by the 3rd light post towards the back next to the black Honda.”
And one enthusiastic admirer chimed in, “yes indeed I am guilty of all charges officer.”
Other commenters saw the reactions coming from a mile away. “I knew these comments were gonna be diabolical😭😂,” one person wrote.
The post has since racked up more than 500,000 likes and thousands of replies, so clearly, Officer Parks has made quite the impression.
Leaning Into the Moment
Rather than ignoring the sudden wave of playful comments, the department appeared to embrace it. The Burbank Police account responded to comments and even shared media coverage of the viral moment in its Instagram Story.
Beyond the laughs, the department also used the spotlight to direct viewers toward recruiting information and highlight the work officers do in the community.
In the end, it was just a simple photo taken during a routine call. Officer Parks probably didn’t expect this kind of reaction, but he’s handled it like a pro. Let’s just hope he keeps that same humble smile.
