Golden Retrievers Have the Best Reaction When Girl’s Musical Performance Takes an Unexpected Turn

Everyone is a critic. It just hurts a little more when your biggest hater is your dog! A pair of pups were not fans of the performance their human put on — and they weren’t afraid to show it. The Golden Retrievers were practically running for cover when the girl pulled out her trombone. And their reaction is a good reminder that most pups prefer peace and quiet.

Bruce and his pal had no idea what they were in for when the girl pulled out her instrument. The Goldens thought they were in for a treat, but the opposite turned out to be true.

The family has five Golden Retrievers in their home, but when the girl brings out her trombone all of them scatter like they’re trying to disappear!

The Golden and one of the other Golden puppies in the home were totally ready to listen to their favorite human play a concert. They just didn’t realize that music is so loud!

“A one, a two — a one, two, three,” the girl’s dad said from behind the camera.

The second the girl started playing, the two Golden Retrievers started running. They wanted to know where that “dangerous” sound was coming from.

“Oh poor Bruce,” the dog’s human joked in the video’s caption.

Sadly for Bruce, people in the comments section couldn’t stop laughing.

“It’s the way the puppy sat down ready for the show, then thought ‘heck no,’” joked one person.

“Please, they looked so excited followed by immediate terror,” someone else chimed in.

“They said ‘NO THANK YOU!!!’” joked one commenter.

While another person could relate: “Okay, but I literally quit playing trombone in middle school because whenever I would try to practice my dog would start howling,” they wrote.

Sounds That Dogs Hate

It’s important to know that dogs have very sensitive hearing. You have to be careful. Loud noises like fireworks, thunderstorms, sirens, smoke alarms, car alarms, power tools, high-pitched electronics, screaming or yelling are too much for them — even vacuums can be too loud.

Trombones definitely fall into that category. So do your pup a favor and keep the concerts to a minimum.
