A dad with a sheet and a dream tried to pull off a simple magic trick for his dog pack at home, including two Golden Retrievers and two Siberian Huskies. Interestingly, all four of his dogs gave him very different reactions in this hilarious Instagram video from @imbluethesiberian. The setup includes the dad holding up a large cloth in the kitchen like a curtain, then dropping it as if he has disappeared. And the dogs, lined up as the audience, have very different reactions.
Dog pack has strikingly different reactions to dad’s magic trick
The pack in the video by the user @imbluethesiberian shows that not every dog is big on their dad’s magic trick. The on-screen text reads, “How my 4 dogs react to a magic trick.”
It all begins with the first dog — a Golden Retriever named Maverick — sitting still in place, staring down the empty space with the on-screen caption, “Dad??” Then comes the slow, suspicious turn toward the camera, with the on-screen text, “Did you see that…?”
The dog seems interested in the investigation, inspecting the floor where dad stood, as the caption says, “He was standing here,” and finally deciding, “This blanket took him.” He grabs the cloth in his mouth and requests that their mom bring dad back.
Then there’s the Husky, Blue, who gives a hilarious side-eye that suggests he watched the “trick” and refused to be impressed, with the on-screen captions reflecting his mood with “Unimpressed” and “How stoopid does he think i am?”
Meanwhile, the third dog, another Golden Retriever called Bauer, looks back over their shoulder with a confused, “Ummm mom?” and “What just happened?” look. With a bowl in his mouth, he examines the blanket and an empty bag to see if their dad is under any of those things.
Furthermore, the fourth dog — another Husky called Titan— looks extremely surprised. He turns back to their mom as the on-screen text spells out their inner voice. It reads, “Are you seeing what I’m seeing?” with a doubt in their head as he seemingly wonders, “Or is it the meds?”
The video’s caption then says, “I don’t think the spare should take up being a magician anytime soon,” and judging by the dog pack’s reaction, their dad does not qualify to do a magic trick yet.
Fans were quick to share their reactions. One commented, “Your beautiful boy’s reaction is so equally adorable and one thing for sure they don’t want you to really disappear.” Another added, “The Goldens had almost identical reactions; the huskies did too.”
