Parrots are perfect in every way. There are tons of different parrot species, and they’re not alike at all, but every single parrot shares one common trait: they’re hilarious. There will always be something that will set off a parrot to do the funniest thing you’ve ever seen in your life.

Recently, one Cockatoo decided that his funny thing for the day was going to be a silly dance. He absolutely ate it up and left no crumbs! Somebody call Taylor Swift, I think we’ve got a backup dancer on our hands:

Casper the Cockatoo is 21 years old, and according to his mom, he’s holding her hostage. I believe it! At least he’s the cutest captor of all time. In this video, he was performing a nice interpretive dance for the dishes in the sink. Free front row seats! I’m so jealous!

Casper is always doing something. He has a cage, which is where he sleeps, but he doesn’t spend much time in it during the day. He prefers to be where his favorite people are, and lucky for him, they love to have him there!

Casper is a rescue, and being in a loving home has turned him into a little bit of a prince. These days, he loves:

Seriously, Casper loves cashews. When he doesn’t have them, he gets legitimately angry:

I’m glad I finally found someone who loves cashews as much as I do. They’re so delicious!

Cockatoos Love to Dance

Cockatoos are funny birds, and they’re very energetic. It will be incredibly hard for you to find one who will sit still, even for short periods. They love to be bouncing around, and with or without music, Cockatoos love to dance.

Putting on music for them is a good way to entertain your Cockatoo while you’re busy doing something else, and it’ll encourage them to use some of their excess energy! If you play a certain song long enough, they might even learn the words.

Casper’s not there yet, but I know he’ll get there in time!
