Rescuing a dog will have its ups and downs, but watching their personality shine through is always one of the best parts. Bruce is a senior Golden Retriever who used to be too afraid and timid to use his voice. However, after being rescued from his abusive environemnt, he gained more and more confidence every day until he let loose the most beautiful howl. Now he’s not afraid to sing in front of his parents!

Good boy, Bruce! He has such a sweet, emotional voice, but nothing is sweeter than his adorable face. He has fans falling head over heels left and right! From his cuddly sweatshirt to his proud smile, there’s so much to love about this brave rescue dog.

“The little ramp up before the howl,” left viewers like @onlymisskodee with tears in their eyes. Bruce is pouring his entire heart and soul into his howls, and it’s heartbreaking to think that, once upon a time, he wasn’t allowed to use his beautiful voice.

Bruce knows he’s in a safe and loving home now, especially when he needs to express himself. @Boganbillie noticed “him looking at you immediately after making sure you heard his beautiful song.” It truly doesn’t get more heartwarming than that!

Rescuing Senior Dogs

It can be both challenging and joyful to rescue a dog of any age, but senior dogs like Bruce are especially in need of foster and forever homes. Older pups are often overlooked at shelters because of their advanced age, but in reality, they have just as much love to give as a dog half their age.
